Oh, Mary!
Step into the outrageous, Tony-winning world of Oh, Mary! — a bold, campy comedy that flips history’s script, stars Mary Todd Lincoln centre-stage, and leaves you laughing well past curtain call.
Highlights
- Tony-Award winner for Best Leading Actor and Best Direction.
- A fresh, irreverent take on Mary Todd Lincoln – cabaret dreams, suppressed desires, and unfiltered wit.
- Non-stop laughs in an 80-minute, no-interval sprint.
- Broad critical acclaim: “one of the best comedies in years,” “howlingly funny,” “a theatrical sensation.”
What can I expect?
Prepare yourself for Oh, Mary!, the audacious, uproarious dark comedy that has stormed Broadway and now claims London’s West End.
Written by Cole Escola, who also originated the role of Mary Todd Lincoln, this play reimagines the First Lady in the weeks before Abraham Lincoln’s assassination—but not as history books know her. Think cabaret hopes, boozy nights, untold desires, absurd fights with portraits, and a wig that’s as big in attitude as in size.
Directed by Tony Award-winner Sam Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! is as much an emotional ride as it is a laugh factory. Under Pinleton’s watch, the production balances camp, satire and heart with dazzling physical comedy, razor-sharp one-liners, and moments of unexpected poignancy. Audiences have been quoting it, crying with laughter, and long after the final bow, still buzzing over its wild energy.
At Trafalgar Theatre from 3 December 2025 to 25 April 2026, this is your chance to witness the phenomenon live in London. The show runs for about 80 minutes with no interval, making it a perfect pick for a night out that doesn’t drag.
Handle with humour: some mature themes, bawdy jokes, bold theatricality — trust us, it’s part of the fun. Secure your ticket, bring your friends (and your loudest laughs), and see why Oh, Mary! is being called a modern classic.
